She was and will always be my inspiration.
She loved me unconditionally.
She was the one person to challenge me to believe in myself and make my dreams come true.
She was a great example of a woman with an intelligent mind and a strong spirit.
She was a loving mother, wife and community leader.
My mother is no longer in the flesh, but her spirit lives on in me.
The work I am able to do with our youth is because of the love my mother fed me.
I will honor her and continue to share my mother’s love with girls and women always.
