Every teenage girl is full of self doubt and senior year is a huge time of questioning. Do I have what it takes? Who do I want to become? What if the world chews me up and spits me out? At this time my mom was dying of cancer so I was just struggling to hold things together. Sounds very dramatic but what teenage girl isn’t. One line written and signed by a teacher who was a mentor in my yearbook made me self assured with desire to raise a standard in my life no matter what or who I became. She wrote the following, “To Faith: A girl with class. It’s been an honor to know and teach you.” -Sandra Rinehart

Such a simple note and yet to this day impactful that someone thought of that gangly 17 year old girl as someone with class. It caused me to want to make that statement true even to this day!
