She was my first friend back then. She is my best friend now. I have very few childhood memories that don’t involve her, and I cannot imagine any stage of my life without her. She pitched, I played first, and nothing got past us. Raised as twins and inseparable, you’ll never meet two girls more different in every way than us. We shared a room, a dresser and all material things. I admired her, loved her and looked up to her. She was smart, pretty and good at everything when we were little. She is brilliant, beautiful and poised now that we are big. She pushed me to be better. Not by saying or doing anything specific, but just by being someone who I aspired to be like. She was/is the coolest girl I know. I always felt lucky to be related to her and often wished I was her. She taught me to love art, books and learning. Today when I accomplish something amazing in my career, I am grateful for the standards she set for herself that influenced me, and I cannot wait to share the news of my success with her. She is a super mom who brought super kids in to the world. She is a wonder woman and a creative genius. Everything she touches or creates is awe inspiring. She is a skilled artist, a conscientious teacher, a confidante to many people and a friend to all. She puts art and love in to the world effortlessly. We are all blessed to know her. She is my sister and my BFF and I love her very much. (To JAG From JAA)
