My friend J is the Campus Minister for our college. She is amazing. She has successfully balanced home and career, raising five children to self-sufficiency while maintaining a happy and centered adult relationship with her husband of 29 years. She left a lucrative job to answer her call to ministry. Her moral compass is centered and she not only talks the talk of peace, social justice and giving of oneself – but she walks it every day. J is a role model not only to students but to everyone she encounters on a daily basis. Additionally, she has walked with me during a very difficult personal journey. I have learned much from her and am truly blessed to call her my friend – since I am a much better person for having her in my life.
