She is an inspiration to so many. Growing up with her was a joy. We had a mutual love and respect for each other. We started off life being roommates and even shared a bed until we moved to this area. As we got older, we shared clothes and makeup and rarely fought. She was that “perfect” sister who had hair envied by many, never misbehaved or acted mischievous like me, the middle child, often did. But I was never jealous of her. I admired her. And respected her. For as long as I can remember I had a special fondness for her. I thought she was silly for getting married so young at 19. Why didn’t she want to go to college, live life and have fun? I know now that God had other plans for her. She has the most awesome family (my 2 adult nephews and niece) and already has 8 grandkids — and she is only 2 years older than me!! Early in her marriage her husband struggled with an addiction. I give them so much credit for making it and for never giving up. I’ve watched her grow so devout to her faith and to God. She now lives her life for the Lord and makes huge impacts on others’ lives through her faith. She is kind, patient and loved by many. I am blessed to have her as my big sis!
