Nothing related to schoolwork has ever come easy for me and surprisingly, I am okay with this fact. Learning to retain what I’ve read, concentrating in class and taking tests have proven to be extremely difficult for me.  The good news is, because of these challenges I’ve learned several amazing life lessons that will help me in college and beyond.  I have also been exposed to a field of study I am passionate about, (teaching) which will enable me to help young kids who are experiencing similar things with ADD.  The life lessons I speak of center around asking for help, developing alternative strategies for learning, and believing in myself.  I am grateful that I went to a high school which provided tools and resources for me to be successful. The resources were there for the taking; I just had to have the courage to ask for them. So I write this to thank the amazing Interventionists at my school and the teachers, especially Ms. Ettinger. She was a blessing to me.
