I love being with my Mom especially while we are in the company of other woman. She is like the sun, people are always orbiting around her. Regardless of our relationship with the other women , if they are friends, family or strangers, she is quick to build an instant bond. She has always been the greatest teacher setting the best example in social etiquette. I use her as my personal yard stick on how to give praise authentically. She genuinely loves other women and all that they’re about.  She makes connections everywhere she goes and immediately upon meeting someone they are instant friends. I believe people find her so interesting because she is so genuinely interested in them! She loves getting to know women young and old! Learning about their background, how they’re doing, their ways of getting things done, what they’re wearing, where they shop, their parenting philosophy, cooking tips, career advice,  their relationships and the list goes on! She is a joy to watch as she smoothly works a room. A lover of clothes, jewelry, decorating, organizing, making things beautiful, and turning the mundane in to something extraordinary, she is something! For fifty years I have sat back in awe of her genuine, unassuming ways. She is the gold standard of kindness and authenticity.

Her wise words over the years have guided me through every situation – When I am at my lowest, I think,  “What would my mom do?” When I am at my highest I think, “I feel like my Mom today”.  She is an optimistic, inspiring “girls girl” who I so admire.  “Keep the Faith, Here comes the Sun, and Kill ‘em with Kindness”are three of her sayings which are my favorite.  There is no way I could ever do a SISW about her. The blog would be too long, and at the same time she is so amazing I probably could not put into words how I feel. So for now I dedicate this website to her with one full page and a cute picture! Bravo Karen for a lifetime of kindness, elegance and authenticity. You exemplify the goal of this site.  You Motivate, Create Positivity and Spread Love just by being you!

Love you, Jilly xo
